Ministry Work

In addition to all things home-related, I am a poet, lyricist, theology geek, and Bible teacher as well. I am also the founder of The Holy Shift; a ministry that helps people explore the upside-down kingdom of God through art, story, and humor.

I founded The Holy Shift in 2021 out of a weariness of hypocrisy and a passion for welcoming everyone to the table to encounter Jesus. Burdened by the division and desperation I see in the world, I am deeply grieved by the ways I believe God is being mischaracterized and misrepresented, both inside and outside of the church. I started this ministry, not because I think I have my theology perfected but because I am compelled to a truer understanding of God and a deeper intimacy with him.

So much of Jesus’ teaching seems paradoxical and “upside-down” to our Western sensibilities. The Holy Shift is an invitation to further explore that teaching and shift the way we understand and follow him accordingly.
